Oaktoberfest: Oak Park Gives Back To The Community

November 16, 2017

On Friday, November 3rd, something spectacular happened in greater Chicago. Oaktoberfest, the 30th annual benefit for Oak-Leyden Developmental Services, raised almost $100,000 in donations that will go towards helping fund programs for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our firm, Coplan + Crane, was proud to be a co-sponsor in this event. Featuring fine German fare and drink, raffles and a performance by Oak-Leyden’s adult choir, the event was a total success.

Our city has a generous spirit, showcased at the event put on by a local organization that funds programming and services for those with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Oak-Leyden Developmental Services provides a valuable service to the community. Adults and children with disabilities are faced with many obstacles, and the aid that organizations like Oak-Leyden provides are incredibly important in helping them lead quality lives.  Residential services, employment programs, children’s evaluations and therapy services all aim to help valued members of our community.

We’re proud of Oak Park, proud to be part of this great town, and incredibly glad to see the effort put on by members of our community earlier this month.
